In February 2023, the CEO of England Golf confirmed that Ashford Golf Club has met the requirements to become a signatory to the R&A Women in Golf Charter. This means the club has promised to deliver on several commitments which will encourage more women and girls to thrive as golfers and as employees in the golfing industry.
We have committed to:
1. Women’s beginner group coaching program
2. Introduce inclusive men’s and women’s competitions
3. High school girls golf coaching
4. Women’s Golf Buddy
5. Blue tees for beginners
6. Women’s Trial Membership
7. Offer junior girls only coaching sessions
8. Appoint a designated Charter Champion within the club who can assist with the promotion and reporting of the charter
